Meet the Artist
Fernando Haro - Artist/Owner
Fernando was born and raised in Southern California and now resides in Las Vegas, NV. Fernando has a unique and diverse background having studied mathematics, economics, and electrical engineering as an undergraduate at the University of California at Irvine and subsequently completing a masters degree in engineering at Stanford University.
Fernando's passion for food and cooking led him to also attend the Culinary Institute of America in San Antonio, TX , where he reinforced his cooking and baking skills before moving to Las Vegas in June 2014. He has worked in several kitchens and bakeries in Texas and Las Vegas.
Fernando has always been a creative and he pursued his passion for art in the little time he had between work and attending classes at Stanford. Fernando started his first art business during his first year at Stanford, a clothing line featuring his hand drawn skull designs. Upon graduating and woking in various fields, he decided to pursue his art full-time and continues to create and learn new art every chance he gets.
Fernando sells his artwork at various pop-ups, art & music festivals, and other markets throughout Las Vegas and California. He creates unique and vibrant artwork using various mediums such as acrylic paint, resin, mica powders, alcohol inks, plaster, and foam.
Fernando combines these different mediums and various techniques to create his one of a kind art on skateboards, skulls, tables, and wall art. He continues to expand his knowledge in digital art and creates vibrant skull & fluid art desgins. You can check out photos and videos of his artwork on his instagram page.
Throwback to the mid-80s...
Yeah, that's me back in 1985 skating the day away. You won't catch me on any board these days but you'll see a lot of skateboard art at my booth. I was a skater during my teen years and I still enjoy watching how much the sport has evolved. In particular, I'm glad to see a lot more girls skating and dominating the sport. Skating is so much different today than it was back in my day but still fun to watch.
